KiDZSPOT Lima delivers a carefully crafted School Readiness Program that has been developed in consultation with local schools. Getting ready for kindergarten is a very big part of any child’s life so it should be exciting - our School Readiness Program helps our children master selected skills while ensuring they are also emotionally and socially ready for this great milestone. At KiDZSPOT Lima, school prep starts from day one.

At KiDZSPOT, we have our own framework for child safety. Underpinned by the 10 Child Safe Standards, we use the KiDZSPOT Child Safe Scheme as a roadmap to ensure our children are protected while they're in our care.

When our Dilga children reach the age of 3, it's time to move up to the 'big centre', KiDZSPOT Lima. The two Centres at Erskine Park work very closely together on programs and services to ensure a strong continuum of learning as children develop from the baby and toddler stage to their pre-school years.
When the time comes for the transition, the Centre Manager will organise a time to meet with the parents to go over the transition process so everyone is well prepared. There will be an information session at the Lima centre to introduce families to the team, the centre and answer any questions families might have. The children will get an excursion to Lima where they will get to see their new 'big centre' and meet their new educators.
It's an exciting beginning for everyone - having 'moved up' from the baby and toddler centre, they're now a fully fledged pre-schooler! It's all new and familiar at the same time.

What to pack
What your child will need every day

a suitable backpack for your child's age and size

a sun safe hat that covers their face, neck and ears

at least one change of clothes; including clean underwear, socks, pants and a top

a drink bottle (children take their bottles home every day for a good wash and refill), and

at the start of each week, we ask parents to bring a clean fitted cot sheet and blanket for nap time (for health and hygiene reasons, our children only sleep in their own bedding)

Clothing
Comfort first! Please dress your children in comfortable clothing that is suitable for the weather as well as running, climbing, jumping, and playing with weird and wonderful things. Play can get messy so please pack a spare set of clothing as well.

2 niche centres
KiDZSPOT in Erskine Park is operated as one business in two niche centres.
For most of our children, their journey starts at our Dilga Centre, which is for babies and junior toddlers only. It is so easy for babies to get lost among the hustle and bustle of older children so, at KiDZSPOT, we created Dilga, a niche service specifically for our youngest and most dependent. Everything in the service, from the staff to furniture to toys & resources...everything is designed to work around the demands of our tiniest children.
Moving to Lima is almost like a practice run before the big move to school. The transition is easy and smooth; we take care of everything to ensure the children feel the excitement of ‘moving up’ to pre-school. We hold a parent information night and we organise an excursion to the Lima centre in time to give the children the opportunity to see their new KiDZSPOT.
