The questions our new parents ask most
KiDZSPOT Dilga in Erskine Park is for babies and toddlers from 6 weeks to 3 years
KiDZSPOT Lima, also in Erskine Park, is for ages 3 -5 years
KiDZSPOT Ornella in Glendenning caters for children between the ages of 2 - 5
Absolutely. Education shouldn’t start at school because learning doesn’t start at school. There are many reasons that are supported by research to explain why children should engage in a professional learning environment before the age of 5.
Here are just some of them:
We know that children start to learn before they are born. At an early learning centre, your child is exposed to diverse learning experiences that they would not be able to experience at home
Early childhood centres provide a strong foundation for social and emotional skill development as children learn by interacting with other children
Early childhood education prepares children for school. It teaches them core academic skills, such as literacy and numeracy.
Early childhood education is comprehensive; it covers all key aspects of a child’s growth, including physical, motor skill, language, social and cognitive development
And, by doing so, it gives all children equal opportunity to succeed at school and the years that follow.
You can enrol your child up to a year before the commencement date. It’s best to come in for a visit as soon as possible so we can get to know you and your child, discuss your enrolment, and secure your place.
Childcare centres are messy, active, dynamic places with plenty going on all the time. There are a few must-haves that every child needs to bring every day so they're well equipped for a day of action.
The musts for every child:
a bag that is suitable for childcare/pre-school
a sun safe hat which covers the face, neck and ears
a few changes of clothes with underwear, socks, pants and a top
a fitted cot sheet and blanket for nap time (so the children don't have to share their bedding)
a drink bottle (children take their bottles home every day for a good wash and refill)
If your child needs it:
2 bibs
a comfort item, such as a toy
a dummy
any medication your child needs (medications are managed in line with our policies and procedures to ensure your child’s utmost health and safety)

The first few weeks are very important. They're important for you, your child and for us because we’re all getting to know each other. Some children adapt to a new environment quite quickly while others need a bit more time. Age can be a factor and whether a child has been at another centre before can also play a part.
Regardless of your circumstances, the first few weeks are about ensuring your child feels comfortable and safe in their new environment, so everything we do will focus on minimising their stress, building bonds and slowly introducing new routines.
We need to work together to make the transition as smooth as possible.

Our School Readiness curriculum is a structured program that has been designed by qualified curriculum developers working in consultation with local schools.
Generally, KIDZSPOT children start the School Readiness Program between the ages of 3 to 4. The program is integrated into daily activities; it is comprehensive, inclusive, dynamic and it exposes young learners to a variety of experiences that are similar to the school environment.

There are 4 FOCUS GROUPS:
TOT Spotz for ages 0 - 2
MiNi Spotz for ages 2 - 3
MiGHTY Spotz for ages 3 - 4
PREP Spotz for ages 4 - 5
The program for each Group is based on the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), which, basically, is a set of policies which dictate the principles, practices and outcomes providers must apply in their education and care programs.
Our teaching strategy is based on bringing out the best in our children; we start by ensuring our children feel safe and valued in our care. We then transcend our philosophy of bringing out the best in our education program by developing and assessing a child based on their age as well as their developmental stage, their interests and their overall needs. In short, a child's FOCUS GROUP is the Group which better reflects their current skill level as well as their developmental needs.

We'll update you daily through OWNA.
OWNA is like a digital journal where we share progress notes and photos of the children. It is a private app so only the family gets to see the feed.
It's all a part of the KiDZSPOT service from us to you.
The government subsidy is the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) payment. The CCS eligibility test looks at your combined family income, the type of service your child attends and the hours of activity you and/or partner are involved in each fortnight, such as work and study.
Your out-of-pocket costs will depend on whether you are eligible for the government subsidy and, if you are, how much subsidy you will receive.
To keep your gap payments as affordable as possible, KiDZSPOT offers 3 options: a 9-hour day, a 10-hour day or the standard full day. If you're not sure which option is best for you, we'll explain it all during your introduction meeting.
For more information about our fees, click here.
No, KiDZSPOT does not charge an administration fee for new enrolments.
The bond payment is two weeks full fees payable upfront before your child begins. The bond is refunded when your child leaves us.
Yes, fees still apply for days your child is unwell and can't come to the Centre. The Child Care Subsidy will cover up to 42 absent days a year with no documentation and unlimited sick days if you're able to provide a medical certificate or similar.
Normal fees apply for all absences that fall on a usual day of attendance. We will need written notification of any pending absence at least 2 weeks prior.
We know that sometimes absences can be under exceptional circumstances in which case, we’re happy to discuss alternative arrangements that might help you.
Our Centres are closed on public holidays, however, because our costs remain the same, normal fees apply.
