Daily routines
Routine is a healthy aspect of daily life. It is especially important for children as it gives them a sense of stability and security. At KiDZSPOT we follow a daily routine to keep things running as smoothly as possible for the children, our families, and our staff.
The daily program is a broad schedule of the key activities that take place at the Centres every day. The program provides a broad guide of the different tasks and activities so we can plan and manage the day smoothly from open to close. The exciting thing about the daily program is that it is also flexible. Throughout the year, your KiDZSPOT Centre will host a range of events and incursions that are extra curricular activities to the enrich learning and development experience. Click here for a peek at some of our incursions.
One of the highlights of the daily program is that it is based on interest-based learning. In line with the Early Years Learning Framework, we practice child-led learning. What does this mean? Child-led learning is where the children and their needs and interests take priority over set schedules. For example, if the children are enjoying an outdoor activity but the program requires them to shift to an indoor activity, we can continue to play outside if the children are engaging in the experience.
Our day, like our approach, has to be open ended; there are no predetermined outcomes, expectations or limitations other than considerations to safety and supervision at all times.

Food & Nutrition
Food is an integral part of the general program.
Mealtimes are not just about being fed, they are also involve education and the development of social skills. Meals times involve educating children about food so they can grow to understand the impact diet has on our overall well-being. By exposing children to good food and good eating habits, we establish proper life-long eating practices.
There is also the social aspect of mealtimes; by creating positive experiences during meals, we create awareness of the importance of social norms and help children develop crucial social skills around eating and dining.
About Kids Gourmet Food
At Kidzspot, all meals are prepared by Kids Gourmet Food.
