The importance of early learning

Early childhood education is vital for a strong start to formal schooling. As 90% of a child's brain develops within the first 5 years, childcare establishes the foundation for lifelong learning, health, and behavior. It also improves social-emotional skills like empathy and cooperation, it enhances cognitive abilities, and boosts school readiness.

The right setting will foster independence, reduce developmental delays, and lay the groundwork for the best start to life.

Family orientation

At KiDZSPOT, we start the enrolment process with All About Me which includes a comprehensive discussion about your child and your family so we can establish your care needs.

New families are given an induction pack and invited to participate in a Stay and Play session where you get to spend time with your child in their new environment as part of a smooth transition.

Separation anxiety

Separation anxiety is the distress we feel when we’ve been separated from a very secure attachment, which is usually the primary caregiver. Almost all children and parents will experience some form of separation anxiety when a child joins a new centre.

Acknowledge your child’s emotions, establish a loving goodbye routine, monitor their adjustment, and celebrate their progress in adapting to the new routine.

Settling in

Settling in

The first few weeks focuses on comfort and securing a sense of safety as we start to build a bond with your child and  slowly introduce them to their new routines.

Parents can support the transition by visiting the centre, establishing similar routines at home, and involving your child in choosing comfort items for their bag.

Food & Nutrition

Food is an integral part of the general program.

Mealtimes are not just about being fed, they are also involve education and the development of social skills. Meals times involve educating children about food so they can grow to understand the impact diet has on our overall well-being.

By exposing children to good food and good eating habits, we establish proper life-long eating practices.
