Washing Hands
Our COVID-19 response

Taking care of each other

In this time of uncertainty and change, the health and safety of everyone remains our top priority.

KIDZSPOT implements significant health and safety measures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our team, the children in our care, and the parents who come to our premises.

We may not be able to completely eliminate the risk of the people in our care from contracting COVID-19 but we will do everything we can to minimise the risks. We urge everyone to take responsibility and appropriate measures outlined by both state and federal governments to ensure their own safety and that of others.

Outbreaks can occur easily in any area and we all need to practise physical distancing, good hygiene and stay at home when sick to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Here are some measures that are currently in place at KIDZSPOT:

  • in line with the requirements mandated by the NSW Department of Health, all KIDZSPOT staff are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19

  • staff and visitors must wear face masks inside and in the outdoor play areas at all times

  • hand sanitisers are provided throughout our Centres

  • we model and implement enhanced hand washing procedures for children

  • we disinfect high touch surfaces in the Centres every day (e.g. door handles, bathrooms, devices used by adults and children, tables, chairs)

  • increased ventilation within rooms

  • use our outdoor learning area as much as possible

  • cancellation of incursions and excursions

  • limit visitors to new enquiries only, provided face masks are used and appointments are made outside of operating hours wherever possible

  • no family access, children are collected and taken to the door

Feeling sick – Please stay at home!

Anyone who has potential flu-like symptoms must not come to a Centre under any circumstance. We urge anyone who is displaying symptoms or feeling unwell to get tested at a free COVID-19 testing clinic or see their GP. Self-isolation is required after testing until results are returned.

Symptoms may include:

  • fever

  • flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat and fatigue

  • shortness of breath
